How Residence works: A minecraft article by Miner1999er

Residence is the plugin that we at the MPA server use to claim land for personal and business use. You can use it to have a little message pop up when you walk into it, enable container permissions for your claimed area, and pop easily over to it if needed. All of this you learn here!
You start by selecting land. You can make a wooden shovel and hold that as your selector, or use /res select [x] [y] [z] . Make sure you select two. When that's done, use /res create [name of residence] . Now you have a basic residence. (When I learn more about leasing it, it will be in the place of this parenthetical.)
Want to do some really funky things with your crib now? Ok. You can use flags, which essentially are permissions for your land. Note: If a flag permission is not enabled serverwide, do not expect it to work in your residence (eg firespread). The available flags are admin, animals, bucket, build, container, creeper, damage, firespread, flow, healing, ignite, monsters, move, piston, pvp, subzone, tnt, and use. These are mostly self explainatory, but beacause this is supposed to be short, you can read about the ones you don't get here . These can be toggled with the command /res set [residence] [flag] [true/false] . To set these for individual players, you use /res pset <residence> <player name> <flag> <true/false> .
